Dominic Stricker (ATP 94) failed at the start of the Next Gen Finals. At the ATP Junior Masters in Saudi Arabia, he lost to the Italian Flavio Cobolli (ATP 100) in four sets on the first day of the Green group.

The 21-year-old Stricker had no chance despite the clear verdict of 2:4, 4:3 (9:7), 1:4, 2:4. On the contrary: the Bernese even scored one point more throughout the match than his opponent of the same age, but only managed to use one of the twelve break opportunities.
