Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Felix Nmecha (23) until the winter break. “He needs complete rest. He will not be used again this year,” says coach Edin Terzic (41) prior to Saturday’s home match against Borussia Mönchengladbach (from 3:30 PM, live on Blick in the ticker).
The German international already missed the two international matches against Turkey (2:3) and Austria (0:2) due to an injury. The reason for the continued failure is hip problems. Fortunately, Nmecha manages to avoid surgery. Because the injury is in an unfavorable location, some physical therapy is planned, Terzic says.
Midfielder Nmecha moved from VfL Wolfsburg to Dortmund this summer for 30 million euros. Since then he has played fifteen games for Black and Yellow in the Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB Cup. He scored one goal and two assists.
