Buffalo Bills fans can’t calm down. After the drama surrounding Damar Hamlin (25) at the beginning of this year and the violent accident with Damien Harris (26) more than a month ago, they are experiencing anxious moments again. In the match against the New York Jets (32:6), the two players Taylor Rapp (25) and Taron Johnson (27) collide violently shortly before halftime.
While the latter immediately remains down, Rapp is initially able to stay on his feet. But he is also in pain, holds his neck and a moment later falls to the ground. The defensive player is immediately treated by doctors and his teammates form a privacy screen. Ultimately, Rapp – just like Harris a month ago (see video) – has to be taken away in an ambulance.
It is not yet known how seriously the footballer was injured. The first full clear light came when Rapp was able to move his fingers on the stretcher. The game is also over for teammate Johnson, who is out with a concussion.
Rapp was already in the news in February 2022, but for good reasons at the time. After the Super Bowl victory (then with the Los Angeles Rams), he proposed to his girlfriend on the field, which she accepted. (ch)
