Defeat against Sinner: Djokovic is worried about reaching the semi-finals in Turin

Surprise in Turin. Jannik Sinner (22, ATP 4) defeated Novak Djokovic (36, ATP 1) after three sets and more than three hours. It is Sinner’s first victory in the fourth match with Djokovic. The Serbian, on the other hand, lost a match on the tour to Carlos Alcaraz (20, ATP 2) for the first time since the defeat at Wimbledon in July.

Sinner takes a big step towards the semi-finals. And Djokovic? He must be shaking. The six-time final winner is now under pressure in his last group match against Polish replacement Hubert Hurkacz (26, ATP 9).

Rune’s lightning victory

Holger Rune (20, ATP 8) is also on course for the semi-finals. Only three games and seventeen minutes have been played and the match between the Dane and Stefanos Tsitsipas (25, ATP 6) is already over. The reason: the Greek has to give up when the score is 1:2.
