And with the new owner, a new crew is also moving to the Munotstadt. Jimmy Berisha (41) will become the new CEO of FC Schaffhausen. No stranger to Swiss football. Berisha, who once also worked as a player agent, was CEO at GC for two years until the summer of 2022. Under his leadership, the record champion was promoted back to the Super League in 2021.

Mehmedi has a degree in sports management

As head of sports, Berisha takes a big name, Admir Mehmedi (32), at his side. The 76-time international, who ended his career this summer, has completed his sports management studies. Mehmedi told Blick a few weeks ago after his dismissal that he wanted to continue learning. “I certainly don’t think I know how the manager business works just because I was a pro for 15 years. I know that I still have a lot to learn in these areas and that I still have a lot to fill my backpack.” Now he has to gain his first practical experience at FC Schaffhausen – with Berisha at his side. In the meantime he also worked as sports director at GC.

The intention is that ex-Nati star and Blick columnist Kubilay Türkyilmaz (56) will also support Mehmedi. Türkyilmaz is intended as a scout.

Schällibaum’s name has already been mentioned

Once the deal is completed, the new management’s focus should immediately be on the pitch: the mission to stay in the league!
