“It hit hard”: Tisipas’ girlfriend defends herself against malicious accusations

2023 was a tough year for Stefanos Tsitsipas (25). The number six in the world only won the 250cc tournament in Los Cabos (MEX). After all, things are better in private. Tsitsipas fans are taking out their frustration on his girlfriend on social media. She is the reason why he is less successful this year. It drags him down, distracts him and hurts his career. In an interview with the Spanish newspaper “El País”, Badosa spoke about these hateful comments. “That really hit me hard. Of course we are in the public eye, but that does not justify such malicious contributions.”

The former world number two, who had to cancel several tournaments this year due to a complex back injury, continues: “Because I couldn’t play, I took care of him even more. I was with him on the field or supporting him in the gym.” According to her, Stefano Tsitsipas also cannot understand the accusations. His focus now is on the ATP Finals from November 12 to 19 in Turin, Italy.
