The high flyers

Calvin Thurkauf (26, Lugano)

The competition’s top scorer has taken the lead in southern Ticino. Combines different styles into a total concept that could also pass for Finnish. Or as a Swede. An all-rounder who can bang his head against the wall if necessary.

Marcus Sörensen (31, Fribourg)

The Swede got off to a slow start last season after dislocating his finger during a fight. But then he got bigger. Now the poisonous wing has added another briquette and is by far the best goalscorer in the league and the second best scorer with 15 goals.

Juho Lammikko (27, ZSC Lions)

When the Finn picks up speed with the characteristic gap between his teeth, he has the effect of a truck. Nothing stops him. Anyone who gets in his way should expect to come under the wheels. In addition, the Lions top scorer from last and current season also has nice hands and cool blood in front of goal.

Patrik Nemeth (31, Bern)

A refrigerator with the dueling behavior of a cage fighter. The Swedish defender could probably only block passing and running routes with his positional play, but he likes to outsmart opponents every now and then. A direct hit.

Fabrice Herzog (28, train)

The EVZ attacker currently overshadows many professional colleagues – and not only because of his height (1.90 m). The piano plays courageously and with determination. Herzog is holding his own in the danger zone better than ever, has worked on his agility and is scoring goal after goal.

The divers

Jonathan Ang (25, Kloten)

A year ago, the Canadian, from the Swiss League, made a big splash in the NL cosmos with his fantastic solo runs, spectacles and goals. But now people around the league seem to have seen through him. Ang is a shadow of his former self, his self-confidence is gone, he barely scores anymore and has only three goals to his name.

Philip-Michael Devos (33, Ajoie)

The Canadian has been filling the nets for the Jurassians since 2015. But his cult status is currently cracking. Not yet a goal in 16 games and sometimes he even exceeds the requirements. Is the captaincy he has taken on this season too much of a burden?

Roman Cervenka (37, SCRJ Lakers)

The dominance of the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the past two seasons will be sorely missed. And that’s one of the reasons the Lakers are in crisis. His influence on the game is minimal and the Czech can no longer put his teammates in the spotlight.

Ivars Pünnenovs (29, Lausanne)

The Latvian goalkeeper with a Swiss license, who was part of the World Cup bronze team in May, is now in danger of falling through the cracks. Due to an underground defense rate of 82.7 percent. And because in addition to the currently injured Connor Hughes, the young Kevin Pasche has also overtaken him.

Juha Metsola (34, Kloten)

The calculation with a foreign goalkeeper is quickly made: he has to overperform and steal a match every now and then, otherwise it is better to invest the license in a field player. The Finn met this requirement in his first season in Kloten, but he no longer met this requirement.
