The Super League scores for the 13th round: FCB veteran wins with monster tackle – FCZ completely unsatisfactory

class=”sc-29f61514-0 dXbCZE”>

1/11
He fights and struggles in the FCB victory: Fabian Frei.

Basel – Yverdon 2:1

Thierno Barry is really nothing to be jealous of this season. He was thrown off the field in his first two games, awarded a total of two hand penalties and tripped over almost every ball in all his appearances. His assist on Sigua brings FCB victory. But the best Basel player wears the number 20. And the captain’s armband. Fabian Frei keeps things together in the defensive center and shows a monster tackle with twenty minutes to go. Anthony Sauthier in particular impresses at Yverdon. Because he fights like there’s no tomorrow. And because he tries it from almost 30 meters in the first half.

Basel – Yverdon 2:1: Here Sigua puts the FCB in trouble after almost 100 days(03:18)

Lucerne – ranking 2:0

The people from Lucerne make their money almost across the board, Chader and Ottiger lose out a bit, good numbers. At the top, the two scorers Teddy Okou and Ardon Jashari stand out. The Grasshoppers are completely unconvincing offensively. You also see very little of leading actors such as Abrashi and Schürpf. Only goalkeeper Hammel keeps his team in the match with good saves, defense chief Tobers is the best field player of the record champions.

Lucerne – classification 2:0: Okou dances past the goalkeeper and paves the way to victory(03:01)

Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy – St. Gallen 2:5

After the break, Isaac Schmidt is the leader of the turnaround in St. Gallen. His stunning goal to make it 2-2 paves the way for their first away win of the season. In the Pontaise – a stadium that the Vaudois know well from his time in Lausanne – he tirelessly pushes the game forward and also radiates defensive strength. Lawrence Ati Zigi is probably annoyed by the first goal conceded, but he also saves his team several times and therefore does not deserve a failing grade. Vallci, like the entire Espen team, did not look good before halftime, but responded strongly after the break. On the SLO side, double goal scorer Mulaj must be mentioned. Meanwhile, the defense, and especially Lamine Gassama, is falling apart. The Senegalese should be a mainstay with his experience, but he receives a yellow card early on and is partly responsible for St. Gallen’s opening goal.

SLO – St. Gall 2:5: Incredible finish from Schmidt opens Espen’s comeback(03:17)

Winterthur – YB 1:4

In the end, the team that had to stay down for a long time won 4-1. The assessment is of course more difficult than it already is. The YB defense was a wild bunch for the first half hour. But in the end, Benito has a goal and Camara and Garcia each have an assist. Special: Elijah! One dream goal, two goal participations. Also very strong: Ugrinic and Males. At Winti the storm with Ballet and Burkart is very strong. Negative point: only one goal and one shot on the post. The rest? The midfield is sufficient. The defense did not do that, given the four goals conceded.

Winterthur – YB 1:4: Lauper sees red for this violation(03:10)

Zurich – Napkin 0:2

Now the FCZ has also been affected. In the 16th competitive match of the season, the previous Super League leader lost for the first time. The defeat against Servette in Letzigrund at home is completely deserved. Only goalkeeper Yanick Brecher managed to get a passing grade. The rest of the team? Insufficient, as coach Bo Henriksen also sees: “By far the worst match of the season.” Especially in the beginning, Zurich cannot disguise the fact that two pillars are missing in the usual three-man chain with Nikola Katic and Fabio Daprelà. Deputy defense chief Mirlind Kryeziu is known for his lack of match training. Especially when we conceded an early goal. For Servette, however, Miroslav Stevanovic (at least until he was sent off) and midfielder David Douline shone alongside the striker duo Chris Bedia and Dereck Kutesa.

Zurich – Napkin 0:2: Kutesa’s dream assistant heralds Geneva’s victory(03:01)

Lausanne – Lugano 3:1

The statistics of the game are balanced, it couldn’t be more balanced: 50 percent ball possession, 417 to 418 passes played, 5:4 shots on target, 12:11 fouls. The figures are less balanced. At Lausanne, Nigerian Samuel Kalu, hired from Watford, particularly shines with his free kicks. With his brilliant shooting technique he made it 1-0 – and he also prepared the score for 2-1. He hits the post in the first half. Grade 5. Poaty, Roche and Custodio are also playing well for the home team. The latter had only been on the bench against Basel a week earlier, but given the suspensions of the two full-backs Giger and Kablan, he was placed back in the starting line-up in a rather unusual position for him – and he did so as captain with a good performance. At Lugano, only defender Hajrizi gets a five. Dropped: Striker Boris Babic, who gave coach Croci-Torti another chance due to numerous absences. Babic can hardly draw attention to himself and has to go outside shortly after the break.
