YB I

On Saturday, one of YB’s top goalkeepers will play against… YB. Marvin Keller, the very talented U21 goalkeeper of the national team with a contract until 2027, is on loan to Winterthur until the end of the season and makes no secret of where he wants to be in goal one day: at YB! The Zurich native showed the best taste of his talent yet in the cup final as he helped bring the trophy to Bern with great confidence.

YB II

Good news: Cedric Itten is back on board after recovering from a bruised foot and can fly to Manchester on Monday. Only Kastriot Imeri (knee) and Lukasz Lakomy (foot) are missing from the Schützenwiese.

Zurich

An important factor in the best FCZ start to the season in the club’s history is the starting eleven, which coach Bo Henriksen has never changed much. But now the Dane can put the proven motto ‘Never make a winning team’ into practice in the home match against Servette. Defense chief Nikola Katic (27) is suspended, regular defender Fabio Daprelà (32) is doubtful after his head injury last Saturday. This means: of the almost always strong three-man chain, only Lindrit Kamberi (24) will be on the field against Servette. Mirlind Kryeziu (26) comes on for Katic again, Silvan Wallner (21) for Daprelà.

Basel

Basel, the bottom team, is running out of defenders. After Sergio López (24/torn cruciate ligament) and Arnau Comas (23/meniscus), Fabio Celestini will also have to make do without Adrian Barisic (22) on Sunday in his Super League debut with FCB against Yverdon. The Bosnian national team player is out with a knee injury. “There’s no point in crying about it,” says Celestini. FCB has enough players in the selection that can replace them. “I trust these players.”

St. Gallen

The difference is enormous: FC St. Gallen scored 18 of the 21 points at home. The last away win in the competition was more than eight months ago. On February 25, the Eastern Swiss won 4-0 in Sion. “It’s time for us to change that, otherwise we wouldn’t always have these discussions,” says coach Peter Zeidler. St. Gallen will get their next chance to end their negative streak on Sunday at Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy. The switch to winter time also gives Zeidler hope, because his team plays more successfully under floodlights.
