Beat Feuz has a feel for the skis, but does he also have a feel for the ball? The TV program ‘Small versus Large’ provides information.

What does Beat Feuz (36) actually do after being fired? He is skiing. Down the stairs in shorts and then juggling a ball with his boner at his feet.

Just in case you think Feuz went crazy out of sheer boredom. Don’t worry, the 2022 Olympic champion is doing well.

Feuz’s strange appearance is part of a television show. ‘Small vs. Big – The Incredible Duel’ is the name of the big TV evening box, which can be seen simultaneously on SRF1, ARD and ORF1 on Saturday from 8:10 PM. He will certainly have an audience of millions.

Beat Feuz has calculated the suitable ski length

Small against big: Children compete in various duels against adults. That’s where Feuz comes into play. 12-year-old Matti challenges the retired skier to a challenge where all Swiss World Cup victories are of little help.

You have to juggle a ball with your skis for a minute. Whoever manages to touch the ball wins. It makes sense that the teenager practices the requirement a little more than Feuz. But the Innsbruck resident also practiced ski juggling at home.

“The very first thing I did was test which ski length was best for the competition,” says Feuz about his TV appearance. “I then followed two or three short training courses because it quickly became clear to me that it is not that easy for adults to stand on one leg in ski boots and on skis for a long time. It was an exciting challenge.”

Will Feuz, who slides into the studio via the audience stairs for his performance, be able to say goodbye to presenter Kai Pflaume just as triumphantly with a victory over his 12-year-old opponent? (MD)
