World record scorer Christine Sinclair will end her impressive career with the Canadian national soccer team at the end of the year. The 40-year-old announced this on Friday, meaning Sinclair will not participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Her record is unparalleled worldwide, with Sinclair scoring 190 international goals in 327 appearances to date. For men, Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) is the record holder with 127 goals (203 international matches). Sinclair would like to continue playing for her club, the American club Portland Thorns, next year.
