Good luck in the event of a breakdown for Trent Alexander-Arnold (27). As storm ‘Babet’ raged in England on Friday morning, the England international was driving his Range Rover – and narrowly escaped a horrific accident. Because suddenly the storm tore a twelve-meter high electricity pole from the ground. And he crashed into the car driving right in front of the Liverpool star.
Alexander-Arnold reacted quickly, braked and was able to avoid a rear-end collision. He only slightly rammed the car, only damaging the front left headlight of his Range Rover, which cost almost R100,000. Miraculously, both drivers escaped unscathed. The footballer immediately got out and attended to the other driver. Shortly afterwards, alert police ensured that the electricity was switched off.
An unnamed source told the Sun it was truly terrifying and it’s a miracle no one was hurt. “Someone could have easily been killed,” she is sure. How Alexander-Arnold must feel? “As if he had cheated death,” the source speculates. And adds: “A few seconds later it could have flown through his windshield. It’s absolutely treacherous out there.”
Shortly after 1 p.m., about three hours after a terrible accident almost occurred, everything was resolved. And Alexander Arnold? He apparently processed the shock well. About 24 hours later he was in the starting line-up in the home match against Everton. (beer)
