The fact that the new FCZ sports director Milos Malenovic (38) is bringing a Dutchman to Zurich for his first transfer is about as surprising as the leaves that fall in autumn. During his career as a player agent, he has built up an enormous network of relationships, especially in the Benelux.
Now Malenovic is bringing the Dutchman Ricardo Moniz (59) to Zurich. As head of player development. This function did not previously exist and was created as part of the professionalization pursued in this area.
Moniz is not an unknown quantity in Europe. He was coach at Red Bull Salzburg when the then emerging club won the double in Austria in 2012. Afterwards he was head coach in various countries such as Hungary, Poland, Denmark and in Germany in 1860 Munich and in England in Notts County at lower league clubs. In between, the former Eredivisie professional also worked as an individual coach for the HSV youth team.

Malenovic turns around. And the sports director conjures up a second Red Bull man, Sascha Milicevic (47). The FCZ becomes a can club. Milicevic comes straight from Salzburg, where the Austrian had various jobs for eighteen years.
In Zurich he will become head of training – who now also takes over the vacant position from Heinz Moser, who moved to FC Augsburg this summer together with Malenovic’s predecessor Marinko Jurendic.
