Stylish appearance by Julian Nagelsmann.

The debut of the new national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) was a great success. Not only his DFB team convinced in the 3-1 win against the USA in Hartford, but also the modern kit of the former Bayern coach. On the sidelines, he wore a strikingly unbuttoned oversized lumberjack shirt in light blue colors, underneath a black shirt, black pants and white sneakers. The shirt will now go under the hammer for a good cause, Nagelsmann himself announced.

He told ‘Bild’: ‘I will not wear it anymore because I have agreed to auction it for charity.’ The shirt will be made available for the RTL telethon. Nagelsmann will wear a new kit for the match against Mexico (Wednesday evening). Overall, he doesn’t seem to like the hype surrounding his appearance: “There was a bit too much fuss about it.”

Müller also has such shirts

Shortly after the final whistle, the lumberjack shirt was the subject of interviews. Nagelsmann received a lot of praise from the journalists on site: “I liked it too, that’s why I wore it, thank you,” he commented on his outfit. It was a good idea on the outfitter’s part. Even his player Thomas Müller (34) made a comment about it. He would always wear a shirt like that; he even has “several in his closet.”

Striker Niclas Füllkrug (30) cleverly avoided the question about his boss’s view of the DFB and only said that he did not want to judge Nagelsmann by his clothes. Even opposing coach Gregg Berhalter (50), no stranger to Germany due to his long-standing positions at Energie Cottbus and TSV 1860 Munich, had to be asked a question about his counterpart’s outfit. His response: “His outfit. Oh my God.”

The checked flannel shirt by Julian Nagelsmann comes from a collection of the official DFB fashion partner Van Laack and is available for 309.95 euros. (perfect)
