Zrinka Ljutic (19, Croatia): The teenager from Zagreb is no longer an insider tip. Why? Because she has already finished third in the slalom of the World Cup. At the World Championships she was allowed to flirt with a medal after the first run, but was then eliminated. Nevertheless: comparisons with ski legend Janica Kostelic (41) are made in her home country. “But I’m not Janica, I’m Zrinka,” she says.

Emma Aicher (19, De): The times of Katja Seizinger (51), Hilde Gerg (47) and Martina Ertl (50) are long gone. It is high time that a German takes the lead again. Aicher has the potential to do this; she is at home in both the technical and speed disciplines and can count on the support of Red Bull. By the way: Aicher was born in Sweden and trained in Engelberg OW for several years as a teenager.

Hanna Aronsson Elfmann (20, Sweden): The super technician won three gold medals at the Junior World Championships in 2021 and 2023. Last winter she finished in the top 10 at five World Cup slaloms. Aronsson Elfmann recently suffered a broken foot during giant slalom training in Ushuaia (Arg). – whether it can start in Sölden is still uncertain.

Delia Durrer (20, size): In her sixth World Cup competition, the Nidwalden native reached the top 15 – 13 in Lake Louise (Ka). After that, things stopped taking off like a meteor. No wonder that young athletes often take longer to establish themselves in the speed disciplines. Now the passionate pianist is ready for the next step.

Moa Boström Müssener (22, Sweden): The Uppsala woman’s biggest problem is the high failure rate. If she can get this under control, a lot is possible. This winter she will mainly be seen at the World Slalom Championships.
