Crashing collisions and hard plays are the order of the day in the NFL. During the Buffalo Bills’ 14-9 victory over the New York Giants on Monday evening, a violent tackle caused anxious moments in the stadium.

It happened shortly before halftime: Bills running back Damien Harris (26) tried to sprint past the opposing defenders with a run up the middle. He collides violently with his teammate O’Cyrus Torrence (23) and Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke (27) and remains motionless.

The treatment time takes a few minutes

Minutes of fear follow. The Bills team gathers around Harris on the field until an ambulance finally rolls onto the field and several paramedics tend to the professional on the scene.
