Bad news for FC Luzern: For central defender Ismajl Beka (23), the season is already over after ten rounds. The Kosovar suffered a knee injury on Sunday shortly after halftime in a match against Lausanne-Sport (1:3) and had to be taken off the field after lengthy treatment.
After medical examination, FC Luzern announced the diagnosis on Monday: Beka has suffered a torn cruciate ligament in her left knee and will be out for the rest of the season.
In recent months, the tall defender has made a name for himself with his tackles and tackling skills. Since the turn of the year, he has become an indispensable part of FC Luzern’s starting eleven. In September he was rewarded for his good development and was called up to the Kosovo national team for the first time. (sbe)
