Further statements against him: Luis Rubiales, former Spanish association boss.

The now outgoing president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales (46), apparently put pressure on her after the unsolicited kiss with Jennifer Hermoso (33), according to new court rulings. Former world footballer Alexia Putellas (29) and other world champions testified to this in court. Putellas, Irene Paredes (32) and Misa Rodriguez (23) confirmed that Rubiales and his entourage had put pressure on Hermoso to portray the now outgoing president in a better light.

Hermoso reports Spanish boss for scandalous kiss

The AFP news agency reported this on Monday based on sources from the Spanish national court. Putellas and Paredes were connected by video, Rodriguez testified at the scene. The three confirmed that Hermoso did not consent to the kiss.

The media director also spoke of exerting pressure

At the awards ceremony after the final of the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Rubiales kissed the player Hermoso on the lips without asking. This caused a storm of indignation, the world champions temporarily went on strike, Rubiales initially stubbornly remained in office, but then resigned under great pressure. He is also not allowed to approach Hermoso or contact her. And controversial world champion coach Jorge Vilda was fired as part of the World Cup review.

Last Thursday, the media director of the Spanish national women’s team, Patricia Pérez, spoke before the national court in Madrid. She claimed that during a meeting that lasted more than three hours, Luis Rubiales pressured her to convey a version of the kiss intended to publicly exonerate Rubiales. Spanish media report this, for example the online newspaper ‘El Confidencial’. The message at the time said the kiss was “a completely spontaneous mutual gesture of great joy.” Hermoso then objected in early September, blaming Rubiales – one of several kissing scandals to have come to light in recent weeks.
