Yverdon – Basel 3:2

Basel suffered a deserved defeat against the daring newcomer Yverdon. Basel is not at its best, especially at the start of the two halves. The FCB defense fell asleep, both at 0:1 from Tasar and shortly after half-time and at 1:2 after a corner from Liziero. At FCB, only Barisic and Demir are enough. Juan Gauto in particular is weak, because he has no chance against Sauthier on the left. Almost everyone is convincing when it comes to the newcomer. Above all, Christopher Lungoyi, who repeatedly causes FCB problems when he takes over and inspires the 4,200 fans at the home premiere at the Stade Municipal.

Winterthur – SLO 2:1

Although newly promoted Stade Lausanne-Ouchy had a weak first half, FCW had to worry about their third win of the season until stoppage time. A few seconds before the end, YB tenant Marvin Keller, the new number 1, holds on to the victory with a strong parade. Grade 5 for Keller in his first competitive match in the FCW uniform. Samuel Ballet, the brilliant attacking player, gets the same grade. If Ballet were to score points in this game, he might be the match winner. But it is Matteo Di Giusto who uses his magic foot and scores the 1-0 with the outside of his foot in the air. Di Giusto was also involved in the second Winti goal. After the break, the Vaudois turned up the heat. But due to the poor first half and the fruitless second half, SLO received insufficient marks. The winning team’s only failing grade? Basil Stillhart brings anything but stability to the defense. He has several outrageous wobbles that SLO should actually punish.

GC – St. Gall 1:1

Serious assessment is difficult. Because playing football on the scandalous lawn in Letzigrund is almost impossible. Symbolic is Christian Witzig’s (22) top chance before halftime. A professional usually hits from this position with his eyes closed, but the St. Gallen player slips away at the stupidest moment. The poor performance of classification defender Théo Ndicka (23) cannot be attributed to the grass. First he throws in a foul, then he loses the ball before the score is 1-1 before missing a great opportunity. The best player on the field is Julian von Moos (22).

Lucerne – Servette 2-0

The standout figure in the Swissporarena is Pascal Loretz. The Lucerne goalkeeper parries everything that comes towards his goal. Otherwise, Teddy Okou also stands out for Luzern, who works a lot backwards and starts the 2-0 with an excellent pass to M. Meyer. Meanwhile, no one in Geneva got a grade 5 – despite a significant increase in odds. A total of 28 shots are fired. Nobody ends up in the goal. That has to do with Loretz but also with his own inability. Miroslav Stevanović barely saves a sufficient 4 with his chances – even though he misses a big chance. Otherwise, René Weiler’s team has little success and seems extremely inefficient. The performance of newcomer Bendeguz Bolla is emblematic of this. The full-back scores an own goal and does not appear in the match for the entire 90 minutes.

YB – Lugano 4:1

It couldn’t be more kitschy! Fabian Lustenberger (35), the noble reserve, scores for the very first time in his 100th Super League match. From 25 meters. In the left corner. It’s the culmination of an overall strong performance from the YB captain. He wants more playing time and, according to Raphael Wicky (46), he will probably get it. In addition to Lustenberger, Jean-Pierre Nsame (30) impressed with a brace and scored his YB goals 133 and 134. At Lugano almost everyone is dropped, the worst wears number 25 and has played two international matches for the Swiss A-Nati : Uran Bislimi (23). Stay in the locker room for a moment.
