The first international matches of the 2023/24 season are over. Time for the players to return to the clubs. One person who should be happier about this than others is Granit Xhaka (30). The Nati captain has had some wild days. Starting with his accusations against Larifari after the match against Kosovo, to his celebration of the goal against Andorra with his finger on his lips.
Back in Leverkusen, Xhaka can put his Nati worries aside. Finally, there is another big hit on the programme, the top match on Friday with the match between leader Leverkusen and second-placed Bayern Munich (kick-off 8.30 pm). Both are still undefeated.

Leverkusen is all the more happy to have a player like Xhaka in their ranks in the pharmaceutical city. “He is probably the piece of the puzzle that Bayer has been missing so far. Against the German record champions, Leverkusen’s threat will probably not be enough on Friday evening. At least that’s what Babbel feels. “I assume that Bayern Munich will win.”
