And now, September 2023. YB goalkeeper von Ballmoos is fit again – and he does not return to the goal. This had been apparent for a few weeks and was a bit embarrassing for YB. That is why the club deleted the then permitted word ‘without discussion’ in a goalkeeper’s story on August 22.
But why exactly? Exercise goes fast. Every day brings new facts. New basis for decisions. And that means you have to adapt to it. Even though the ‘banter’ from back then has been reduced to absurdity. Completely irrelevant. YB responds professionally to the new facts. And that means: Anthony Racioppi held on so strongly that it was simply impossible to take him out of the goal.
This is bitter for Von Ballmoos, very bitter. Possible foreign transfers have already been canceled due to his injuries. He lost the national team spot. Now Racioppi has inherited this too. The performance principle is merciless and devoid of sentimentality. Not even against a club legend like von Ballmoos.
