Haris Seferovic, his wife Amina and their children Inaya and Zayn have had to move several times in recent years.

Amina Seferovic (31), wife of Nati striker Haris Seferovic (31), was a guest in the podcast ‘Extra sweet and sour’ by presenter Sarah Richmond (26) and footballer Julian Weigl (28). There she provided insight into the Seferovics’ private lives.

Richmond and Amina Seferovic became friends when their spouses played together at Benfica. The Seferovics lived in the Portuguese capital for a total of five years and said yes.

Move to Turkey

But over the past year and a half, the family changed their place of residence several times. Haris Seferovic was initially loaned to Galatasaray Istanbul – because the contract included a purchase option, his wife expected to stay in Turkey longer.

Everything turned out differently. “Just like in football, everything changed very quickly,” says Amina in the podcast. At first, Seferovic was celebrated by the fans. However, when the club brought in striker Maura Icardi (30) from PSG, the man from Sursee often just sat on the bench. The purchase option was not exercised.

“Moving takes a lot of time”

In February this year, the Nati striker then moved to Spanish club Celta Vigo. Because he was once again only on loan, he moved to Spain alone. His wife Amina and children Inaya (4) and Zayn (2) remained in Turkey.

The German says: “Moving is extremely time-consuming. Customs clearance and all personal belongings are a huge mess, and Turkey is not part of the EU.” By the end of the season in May they had flown to Spain four or five times.

Now they live in Dubai

After the loan, Haris Seferovic could have stayed in Vigo. But because negotiations did not go as planned, he started looking for a new club during the summer holidays – and he found it in Dubai.

“We were both immediately impressed by the option,” says Amina. On August 1, the family moved to the desert state. ‘We feel comfortable here. Haris said from the start he felt at home in Dubai.” (fmu)
