Juve’s Paul Pogba (30) cannot set sporting standards and spends 90 minutes on the bench. The headlines are only now coming, almost three weeks later: Pogba has apparently been caught in a doping test. This is reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian anti-doping agency Nado has now temporarily banned the player.
Traces of testosterone were found in the Frenchman. If the allegations are confirmed and the B sample also turns out positive, Pogba could face a ban of up to four years. Testosterone is prohibited in competitive sports because it promotes muscle and bone development.
A suspension would be the next chapter in Paul Pogba’s recently troubled career. In 2018, the gifted technician became world champion with France. Afterwards he basically shuttled between the two clubs Manchester United and Juventus and was repeatedly plagued by injuries. The midfielder also temporarily made the news because he was blackmailed by his own brother.
