The Xunta distributes two million euros in aid to clubs and specialized training centers

A total of 1,317 foreign entities received subsidies

The official gazette of Galicia has published or passed a resolution of the user, rejected and inadmissible for the allocation of subsidies to sports clubs and specialized training centers of Galicia, for the development of sports activities for the year 2023.

The allocation of these subsidies has a maximum amount of 2 million euros for two lines of action. For the band, that is, the development of sports activities, which will have an amount of 1.85 million euros and, on the other hand, the core of specialized sports training (NADE) developed as a result of the new regulation at a high level from 2020 and this will have an amount of 150,000 euros.

A total of 1,527 subjects applied for the right to the line for financing sports activities, and most of them were registered. Of these, or 87% (1,317) were beneficiaries, which ended the record number of granted grants. 180 applications were rejected due to failure to meet the minimum number of points, and another 30 were excluded due to failure to complete documentation or failure to meet conditions. Beneficiaries have a deadline of one month to submit a request for approval of the granted support and other accompanying documentation.

In the case of two Specialized Sports Training Nuclei (NADE), this time aid of 30,000 euros was awarded to five NADEs: Club Kayak Tudense, Club BKC Kickboxing Coruña, Club Deportivo Natural Sport Videlgi, Club Weightlifting Coruña and Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña. Please note that regional public investments between 2020 and 2023 in activities and sports equipment exceed EUR 61.9 million, and the recipients of aid are clubs and sports associations of the Autonomous Community. In 2023, the General Secretariat for Sport has an initial price of 44,071,363 euros, an amount that increases by 36% compared to 2022 (32,489,463 euros) and assumes the highest price in the history of Galician sport.
