Everything safe after cerebral haemorrhage: Goalie legend Van der Sar “not in mortal danger”

class=”sc-29f61514-0 fQbOYE”>

Edwin van der Sar “is not in danger,” says his wife Annemarie.

“Edwin is still in intensive care, but stable. His life is not in danger.” This health update from wife Annemarie van der Sar on Tuesday evening via Ajax Amsterdam’s Twitter channel is encouraging.

Last week, the Dutch goalkeeper legend (130 matches for “Elftal”) suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while on holiday in Croatia. On Saturday, the condition of the 52-year-old ex-Ajax director was said to be stable, “but still worrying”.

Now Van der Sars’ wife says: “Every time we visit him, he is very communicative. We will have to wait patiently to see how his condition develops.” (yup)
