He is already 38 years old: FCZ legend now plays in Germany’s 8th division

FCZ legend Raphael still not enough. Although the Brazilian is now 38 years old, he will continue to play in the new season. And in Germany’s eighth highest division: at the district league A club Ay-Yildizspor Hückelhoven. “He’s in great shape,” board member Recep Kaya assures the “Kicker,” “the calves, the figure — I was a little embarrassed in my early forties.”

These Swiss won a jersey at the end of the Tour de France

1. Ferdy Kübler (†2016): yellow jersey 1950, green jersey 1954
Ferdy National is the only Swiss who has won two jerseys at the same time in the Tour de France: in 1950 he won the final classification and in 1954 he also triumphed in the points classification for the best sprinter.

2. Hugo Koblet (†1964): yellow jersey 1951
What an achievement! A year after Kübler, Koblet also won the Tour de France. In the 14th stage he took the yellow jersey and only handed it over at the finish. In Paris he was 22 minutes ahead of the second.

3. Fritz Schär (†1997): Green jersey 1953
Schär has always been a bit overshadowed by Kübler and Koblet. Wrongly. In 1953 he wore the yellow jersey for six days. In the end it was enough for place 6. As consolation there was winning the green jersey.

4. Tony Rominger (62): Polka Dot Jersey 1993
The dotted jersey is the most important next to the yellow one, because it belongs to the mountain prize king. 30 years ago, Rominger was the only Swiss to win this jersey. In the general classification he was a strong second.

5. Marc Hirschi (24): Shirt with red back number 2020
This jersey is awarded to the most combative rider of the entire Tour de France. Incidentally, Hirschi was not the first Swiss to receive this honor. Serge Demierre was honored with it in 1983.

Wherever he went, spectacle was always guaranteed. Jimmy Connors was not only an excellent tennis player, but also a lout. For example 1977 at Wimbledon. At that point, the American took on the chair umpire again. Arguing vehemently with him, he impudently put the finger behind his back. But he was unsuccessful: In the final, Connors lost to Björn Borg in five sets.

European Under-21 Champion, Italian Champion, Intercontinental Cup winner, Italian Footballer of the Year and so on: Christian Vieri is one of the greatest footballers our southern neighbor has produced. In 2011 he ended his impressive career. This Wednesday he celebrates his 50th birthday.
