This is a paid post brought to you by Credit Suisse

Watch out, this is where football becomes art. The artist Daniela Filippelli from St. Gallen has taken up the paintbrush and immortalized the stars of the Swiss national women’s team: as NFT works of art that can be bought and collected. Captain Lia Wälti is enthusiastic about her portrait: «I am honored that an artist drew me in the first place. Daniela spent hours working on it and every photo is beautiful.”

Her teammates are also happy. “My friends and family are over the moon,” says Coumba Sow. Ramona Bachmann thinks the artist “depicts my character very well with the photo”. How does Alisha Lehmann, whose photos are viewed by millions on Instagram, see herself as a work of art? “I think it’s ‘great.

Start ten days before kick-off

Only two questions arise: what – and why? The Swiss Football Association (SFV) and Credit Suisse are jointly launching an NFT art collection on July 11 – exactly ten days before the kick-off for the New Zealand national team. The works will be sold exclusively through the new digital asset feature in the Credit Suisse CSX app.

The paintings by Alisha Lehmann, Lia Wälti and Ana Maria Crnogorcevic are waiting for their new owners.

With every purchase you actively support the promotion of women’s football in Switzerland, because neither a part of the proceeds goes to the SFV as an association, nor to Credit Suisse. All net proceeds are used to promote women’s football in Switzerland. Whoever buys, therefore, automatically does well.

There are a total of 756 unique NFTs across three offering categories:

Unique: There are 11 NFT artworks available for purchase in this category. Shown are 11 different national team players. The buyer receives the work not only digitally, but also as a physical portrait painted on canvas (160 x 120 cm). There is also a signed jersey and a personal meet & greet on the occasion of a national assembly.
Rare: In the “Rare” category, a total of 55 NFT artworks are available per player, 5 variations. These photos are also physically available on canvas (100 x 75 cm). A Meet & Greet is also included, but in a small group.
Limited: 30 NFTs from 23 players, for a total of 690 images for the “Limited” category. A printout signed by the player pictured is included with the NFT.

Who will buy the 756 works in total? The coming weeks will tell. “I hope people enjoy it as much as I do,” says Ramona Bachmann.
