Osasuna has been excluded from the Conference League by UEFA’s appeals committee

“The members of the UEFA Appeals Committee did not take into account the allegations made by the entity last Friday and reaffirmed the original opinion of the inspectors of the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee. On June 24, UEFA recommended that Osasuna not be admitted to the next edition of the Conference League due to corruption in the board of directors that existed at the club from Pamplona nine years ago. The current leaders announced that they will appeal these facts “legally until the final consequences”, and described the position of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) as an “attack”.

“Club Atlético Osasuna does not at all share UEFA’s criteria or the investigation carried out into the case and regrets the wrong message that UEFA sends to the world of football by punishing those who condemn corruption and prosecute it,” the club continued. “Club Atlético Osasuna will continue to use all legal instruments at its disposal to confront UEFA and end what it considers a serious violation of its rights,” he concluded.
