No competitions in Ticino: Lugano plays European adventures in Geneva and Zurich

class=”sc-29f61514-0 jbwksb”>

Will be FC Lugano’s home arena in Europe: the Letzigrund stadium.

FC Lugano will play its European Cup matches this season in the Letzigrund in Zurich and in the Stade de Genève. As the Cup finalist League has announced, he will move to Geneva for the Europa League play-offs (August 24 or 31). The home games of the group stage of the Europa League or Conference League (in case of a loss in the play-offs of the Europa League) are played on the Letzigrund.

The citizens of Ticino move to Geneva because the Letzigrund is occupied by the world-class Zurich athletics meeting on August 31. The Cornaredo Stadium is currently not approved for UEFA matches due to its infrastructure.

The draw on August 7 will reveal who Lugano will face at the gates of the European Cup group stage. (SDA/Mom)
