The future of Lionel Messi (36) has long been doubted. The Argentinian revealed the secret a few weeks ago. He does not return to FC Barcelona but moves to Inter Miami in the United States.
However, the transfer is not yet official. Nevertheless, club co-owner David Beckham (48) has now spoken out for the first time about the commitment of the 2022 world champion. As part of an event entitled “Lessons in leadership”, there was a question and answer session with the football legend of England. So someone wanted to know why Beckham is bringing Messi to Miami and not Salford City. At the same time, Beckham stressed that he had said from the start that he would bring the best players in the world to Miami as soon as the opportunity arose. “I’ve always made this promise to our fans.”
Messi’s transfer is therefore a big moment for him and the club, after all he is one of the best, if not the best, player to have won everything in football.
