Top couples of Central Switzerland: No revenge Wicki against Staudenmann for the time being

At the end of May, King Joel Wicki (26) and Fabian Staudenmann (23), the best wrestler of the season so far, faced each other twice at the Oberaargau Wrestling Festival. While the duel ended in first gear in a posed situation, Staudenmann won last gear.

After almost ten minutes, the young man from Bern was victorious and inflicted the first defeat of the season on the king. Since then, the two have not met at wrestling festivals. Staudenmann won the Schwarzsee-Schwinget and the Berner Kantonale, Wicki celebrated at the Stoos.

Staudenmann, who has never been on his back this season, is now a guest at the Central Swiss wrestling festival. Wicki will not get the chance to take revenge at home for the time being. The classification judges do not let the two loose on each other in first gear. Wicki will face guest Damian Ott (23) from Eastern Switzerland, while Staudenmann’s first opponent is Pirmin Reichmuth (27).
