Marlen Reusser is still 100 km away from victory in the women’s Tour de Suisse. The woman from Bern defends her overall lead on the third section over 124 km from St. Gallen to Ebnat-Kappel, which will be decided in the sprint.
Reusser crossed the finish line as the field swallowed up the last breakaway Urska Zigart 150 meters from the finish. The Italian Eleonora Camilla Gasparini won the day before the Cuban Arlenis Sierra and the Czech Tereza Neumanova.
Reusser is still nine seconds ahead of Dutch teammate Demi Vollering and 18 seconds ahead of Italy’s Elisa Longo Borghini. The tour ends on Tuesday with the last part with start and finish in Ebnat-Kappel. (SDA)
