The reason: According to information from Blick, Jonathan Okita (26) and Nikola Katic (26) are two regular players who plan to leave the squad for the upcoming season.

The FCZ is relaxed when it comes to Okita and Katic. Sports director Marinko Jurendic tells Blick: “We have no pressure. Normal conversations are taking place with the two players to define mutual expectations for the new season.” It is also about the prospects in a season without a European Cup, which is an important billboard for foreign players.

The duo has contracts until 2025

Okita, the winger who grew up in the Paris banlieues with German, Belgian and Congolese passports, became the second best FCZ scorer of the season behind Knipser Aiyegun Tosin (24) with seven goals and three assists. Katic worked his way up to defensive head and team leader pretty quickly.
