SC Bern signed Jussi Tapola (48) as head coach. The Finn signs a two-year contract in Bern. SCB is Tapola’s third coaching station. From 2012 to 2018 and from 2019 to 2023, the Finn was head coach of Tappara, in the 2018/19 season he coached the Chinese KHL franchise Kunlun.
Tapola’s time in Tampere was crowned with success. He led the traditional Finnish club to the championship four times (2016, 2017, 2022, 2023) and won the Champions League last season.
In Bern they are “extremely happy” if the Finns can be brought to SCB. «Jussi Tapola is a strong, demanding personality. He knows how to get the best out of his players. He showed that again last season with two titles in Tampere’, says SCB sports director Andrew Ebbett.
