Swiss without a podium chance: next German victory in Jakarta

class=”sc-29f61514-0 kHgAwW”>

Edoardo Mortara is the best Swiss with an eighth place in the second race in Jakarta.

The second Formula E race in Jakarta also ends with a German victory. 24 hours after Pascal Wehrlein triumphed in the Indonesian capital Maximilian Günther.

Günther, who started from pole position, triumphed in the eleventh of 16 races of the season in the Maserati in the heat ahead of Britain’s Jake Dennis (Porsche) and New Zealander Mitch Evans (Jaguar). With a 6th place, Wehrlein took over the lead in the World Cup ranking from New Zealand’s Nick Cassidy. The Jaguar driver only finished the race in 18th after a fatal driving error.

Swiss not at the top

After his 6th place on Saturday, Günther’s teammate Eduardo Mortara in eighth is again concerned about the best result from a Swiss point of view. Sébastien Buemi and Nico Müller are in 10th and 12th place. Buemi, in ninth place with 62 points, is the best-placed Swiss in the World Cup standings.

It continues on June 24 with the E-Prix in Portland, Oregon. (SDA/SME)
