At the Easter march, the participants demand “money for peace”

The traditional peace rally will also start this year in Eichholz on the Aare.

During this year’s Easter march, participants called for “money for peace instead of wars,” as the organizers announced. It concerns Russian assets held in Switzerland that are being blocked and used for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

“Without the millions and millions from Switzerland, Putin could not have filled his war chest,” said peace activist Jo Lang. According to the organizers, CHF 7.5 billion in “oligarch assets” totaling CHF 150 to 200 billion have been frozen in Switzerland.

The Peace March leads along the Aare to the Münsterplatz. As a rule, a maximum of 1,000 people would participate, said Jonas Heeb, co-organizer and secretary-general of the Switzerland Without an Army (Gsoa) group. (SDA)
