The Zurich GLP is sour. Isabel Garcia (59) wants to politicize for the FDP in the future instead of the Green Liberals – even though she was elected to the Zurich Cantonal Council for the GLP only eleven days ago. For the Zurich GLP around co-chairs Corina Gredig (35) and Nicola Forster (37), it is clear: “We are looking for a conversation with Isabel Garcia in the coming days and aim for an amicable return of the GLP chair,” says Forster.
So the GLP wants to negotiate with Garcia. But that shouldn’t stand a chance. If Garcia sticks to her decision, no one can force her to resign. Even the federal court has ruled in favor of such party changes – even if they are implemented shortly after the election.
Garcia betrayed the GLP twice, writes the Sonntagsblick. She vowed to make room for another GLP member on the Zurich City Council if she is elected to the cantonal council. After switching sides, she remains in both offices. (brother)
