“The rules are clear when it comes to neutrality law”

During the Central Assembly of Deputies in Stans, Defense Minister Viola Amherd looked back on the year of the Russian offensive against Ukraine.

The federal councilor said that the fact that Russia has invaded Ukraine “is kicking international law with its feet”, ignoring a sovereign state, but also the people who fled and all the people who died are very busy and stressful.

Amherd also spoke on the neutrality issue. And she distinguished between neutrality law and neutrality policy. When it comes to the law, the rules are clear. When it comes to the neutrality policy, there is a certain amount of leeway that needs to be discussed.

In Stans, the central delegates prepare for the autumn elections and formulate the slogans for the June vote on the OECD minimum tax and climate protection law. (SDA)
