Just before Christmas: Federal Councilor Karin Keller-Sutter (59, FDP) put the long-time receptionist of the financial department at the door as part of her department change, the NZZ reports. The author gives the impression that after 27 years of service and soon 62 years of service, the deserving lady will become unemployed with today’s Minister of Justice and tomorrow’s Minister of Finance.
Only: according to the Department of Justice (FDJP) of Keller-Sutter, the story is not correct. When asked, she states that “the report in the NZZ is inconsistent on several points” and that an interim solution of four months has been found for the receptionist in the FDF. This gives you time to jointly look for a final solution.
“So she will not be released. And according to the law, a new position must be reasonable, “said the Ministry of Justice. Federal Councilor Keller-Sutter also thinks it is important that a satisfactory solution is found for the employees.
A stubborn denial from the Keller-Sutter department. After all, the magistrate was a member of the board of directors of the media group NZZ. None of this sounds like harmony between the liberal-oriented newspaper and the FDP federal councillor.
Seven instead of twelve
Keller-Sutter also defends against other improprieties: If she changes, she will bring seven Justice Department employees to the FDF and not “a good dozen,” as the NZZ writes. Among those Keller-Sutter takes is Weibel, as Treasury Secretary Ueli Maurer, 72, did not employ one.
At least it’s true that Keller-Sutter takes her assistant to the EVS. It is not uncommon for federal councilors to move with their closest confidants when they switch departments.
Regular change is guaranteed
To be correct: not all seven employees will start working in the financial department immediately after the turn of the year, a number will follow a few weeks later. This was also agreed with the successor to the head of the EJPD, Elisabeth Baume-Schneider (58). This guarantees an orderly transition.
The story of the Iron Lady, whose heart is even colder than her reputation suggests, cannot be proven here. It may be objected, however, that it is not appropriate to reinstate the woman after so many years of public service and so few years before retirement.
