The flu is still on the rise: the number of cases has more than doubled within a week. The cantons of Aargau, Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt, Solothurn, Graubünden and Ticino are particularly affected. In addition to flu viruses, there are also RS viruses.

The Federal Public Service of Public Health (BAG) reports this on Monday in its report on the 49th calendar week of this year (3 to 9 December).

The age group 5 to 14 year olds is most affected, followed by those up to 4 year olds. The fewest consultations for suspected flu were among the elderly over 65 years of age. (SDA)
