Because voting is already in full swing and several voters have probably already voted by mail, a postponement is not justified. The Federal Court wrote this in a decision published on Wednesday. The court has yet to decide on the content of the complaint against the voting documents.
The government council used delaying tactics to ensure that the vote could no longer be postponed, as the referendum committee criticized ‘No to the expansion of the slopes’ in a statement on Wednesday. He let valuable time pass and only dealt with the complaint when delivery of the voting newspaper was imminent.
The committee argued that the government council had “altered and shortened” its arguments against the expansion of the slopes in the voting documents without consultation. With the complaint, the committee demanded that the newspaper be changed and reprinted.
The government council rejected the relevant objection at the end of January. Before the documents were printed, there were disagreements between the committee and the government about the veracity of texts and images that the committee had submitted to the voting newspaper. (SDA)
