Global Logistics Support (GLS) from Germany has achieved legal success: with a super preliminary injunction, an Italian court has decided that the Swiss arms company Ruag must hand over 25 tanks stored in Italy. Ruag is now investigating legal options against this.
According to Ruag, the decision to release the Leopard 1 battle tanks was made in a unilateral process. Ruag said on Friday that it was only provisional and did not yet have legal force. It can only be enforced after the objection period has expired.
In a press release in August, the GLS laid claim to 25 of the Leopard 1 main battle tanks stored by Ruag in Italy. No one from GLS was available at this time. (SDA)
