The Federal Council has decided to act as if it were taking action against the sharp increase in rents – and leave it to the Pflästerlipolitik.

The rich citizens are more important to him. On Wednesday, in addition to the rental ideas, he also decided that premium gaps in the voluntary pension provision, in pillar 3a, can be filled retroactively. The state government is creating new tax loopholes for higher income earners.

This measure will mainly benefit households that generate a taxable income of more than 100,000 francs per year, as the Federal Council itself openly admits.

According to its own estimates, the federal government loses 100 to 150 million francs in tax revenue every year. The cantons and municipalities are expected to lose another 200 to 450 million francs annually.

At the same time, the Federal Council was concerned that deficits of two to three billion francs per year would arise between 2025 and 2027. Nobody understands that he is widening this gap with his 3a plans. In return, he refrains from effectively helping people who will soon no longer be able to pay their rent. Here the measures would have been available to the federal government free of charge.
