The Mouvement Citoyens Genevois (MCG) wins two seats in the National Council. This means that the bourgeois “Alliance Genevoise” wins 7 of the 12 seats. The SP wins one seat at the expense of the Greens. The GLP and the left-wing alliance Ensemble à Gauche lose their seats.
Mauro Poggia (64) from the MCG emerged as the winner in the first round of the elections for the Council of States.
