On Wednesday, the Council of States followed the National Council on several points. For example, the Federal Council should be given additional subsidiary powers when it comes to rates for residential treatment. The small chamber decided this with 27 votes in favor, 13 votes in favor and one abstention.
In concrete terms, the law states that the Federal Council can make adjustments to the collective bargaining structures if they no longer appear to be appropriate and the parties cannot agree on a revision. The Council of States had initially spoken out against additional powers for the state government.
There remains one last small difference in the template. It is the turn of the National Council again on Thursday.
