The signs are good for the SVP. The election barometer predicts a rise for the bourgeois party in the autumn elections. According to the SRG’s most recent evaluation, this should be two percentage points.
This news causes fear among SP voters. After a newsletter from the SP faction leadership this week, the SP received a flood of donations. As “Today” reports, more than 80,000 francs arrived within two days. On average, party members donated 74 francs.
SP co-leader Cédric Wermuth (37) attributes the wave of donations to the major concerns about the SVP. The LGBTQ community in particular is afraid of the SVP party manifesto with ‘gender terror’ and ‘woke madness’. According to current surveys, the SP will probably remain the second strongest party in the country.
The race for third place is opening up. The center could even overtake the FDP. “It will be an exciting head-to-head race and I’m looking forward to it,” FDP chairman Thierry Burkart (48) recently told Blick. Apart from the SP, no other major parties have yet announced a flood of donations. The FDP reports regular donations. The center plans to launch an appeal in the coming days. (lazy)
