Elisabeth Baume-Schneider visited the Zurich National Council Philipp Kutter a few weeks ago in Nottwil LU.

The temporary home of Philipp Kutter (47) has been the spinal cord injury center in Nottwil LU for five months. The middle National Councilor from the canton of Zurich suffered a serious accident in a skiing accident in Graubünden last February and has been partially paralyzed ever since. With daily therapies, the politician fights back – in everyday life, but also in politics.

A few weeks ago, Kutter received a visit from the Federal Palace. SP federal councilor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider (59) visited Nottwil. Kutter posted photos of the visit on social media this weekend. “What an honor!” he writes.

Baume-Schneider took a souvenir photo

It was a visit among friends. Kutter and Baume-Schneider know each other well because they jointly chaired the Alliance Enfance association until the Jurassic was elected to the Federal Council. He fights for children’s rights.

The visit came at the end of June. The Minister of Justice had made a detour from an appointment in Aargau to the spinal cord injury center at Sempachsee. He was very happy that the federal councilor took the time for this, Kutter writes on Instagram. She even came to the center’s photo studio, where after her visit there was a photo shoot for his election campaign. As Kutter reports, Baume-Schneider also grabbed the camera himself to take a picture of him and his wife.

The middle national councilor and mayor of Wädenswil ZH wants to run again for the national council in October despite the accident. He also strives for a seat in the Council of States for his party. (lha)
