The National Commission to Prevent Torture (NKPT) said on Thursday that parents were bound in front of their children. Last year, the NKVF supervised 28 forced returns by air from the highest enforcement level 4 (special flights) and 22 forced returns from enforcement levels 2 and 3.

The FA R+WwV also believes that the use of coercive measures should be avoided as much as possible, according to the statement. However, a general exemption from shackles, for example in the case of families, would mean that the enforcement of legally binding removal orders would no longer be possible in these case constellations. Furthermore, it is primarily in the hands of the parents to prevent the use of coercion by cooperating with the enforcers.

The FA R+WwV also stressed that special flights would only be used as a last resort. Namely when the persons who were obliged to leave the country have not made use of the option to leave the country voluntarily. As a rule, those affected would have prevented at least one repatriation due to their behavior in the past. (SDA)
