The Federal Social Insurance Service wants to further reduce the IV rate for seriously ill children, although this is already not cost-effective, Spitex Switzerland and the Association of Private Spitex Organizations (ASPS) announced on Tuesday.
Citing a calculation by an independent accounting firm, the Spitex associations demanded an increase in rates. However, the BSV does not accept this data as a basis for the renegotiations.
The Spitex children’s organizations say they care for about 2,600, often seriously ill, children. Thanks to the medical capabilities and expertise of the Kinderspitex nurses, seriously ill children can live at home with their families and be cared for, the statement said.
