Federal Councilor Alain Berset pushes the button during the journey of the Federal Council.

From “lame duck” after the resignation announcement: Federal Councilor Alain Berset (51) still sets the tone. If not in the Federal Council chamber, but on the Federal Council “school trip”. There he is allowed to put together the program as acting Federal President – and on the second day he decided to take some music lessons.

The state government visits the Swiss Museum and Center for Electronic Musical Instruments in Friborg. There, Berset himself touches the keys, according to a photo posted by Federal Council spokesman André Simonazzi on Twitter. In the museum you can see and even play more than 5000 synthesizers, organs, drum machines and other electronic instruments.

Cassis on the theremin

The rest of the Federal Council can’t take that away either. Defense Minister Viola Amherd (61) is also trying out the electronic piano. Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis (62) is already getting used to the following discordant notes in discussions about future EU policy with the help of a so-called theremin, where sounds are produced by moving your hands around an antenna. Justice Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider (59) is also trying out the instruments.

It is the second portion of the Federal Council traditional rice. Yesterday, the members of the state government visited Schwarzsee FR, when the city of Murten FR. And on Friday morning, the government also visited the Swiss Museum of Glass Art and Stained Glass.

It remains to be hoped that the Bundesrat has found harmonious tones – and will bring them back to the Bundesrat chambers in Bern. (brother)
